NAFL Annual League Draft

The 2024 Annual League Draft

The draft is scheduled for August 24th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. PST (12:00 p.m. EST). We will start promptly at the given time and will not wait for anyone.

The Draft will be held on-line via the internet. The Draft will be held on the NAFL’s League Management Website, Myfantasy league.com which you can access through the NAFL Website.

NAFL E-Mail Defense Draft
Starts Monday, August 12th, 2024

The NAFL E-Mail Defense will start at Monday, August 12th at 9:00 AM. The reason for this is because you can keep an IDP as a Franchise Player. These players are due August 1st and we need time to put them in the system. If you keep a defensive Franchise Player you lose your first pick in the e-mail draft. Here are some other things you need to know.

• Draft will start at 9:00 am PST / 12:00 noon EST on TBD.
• There will be 8 rounds.
• You get 2 hours to make your pick. Owners are encouraged to pick faster (Please do so…)
• You will get notified via e-mail and/or Text. (Whatever you have put into the MFL site). You then go to the MFL site and make your pick.
• Ten teams will draft.
• You have to pick 2 DE/DT, 2 LB’s, 2 CB/S, 2 Def Teams. (please abide by these, you will get an error if you pick too many)
• No auto picking
• The draft gets paused at Midnight (Eastern Time) 9:00 pm PST and starts at 9:00 AM PST / Noon EST the next day if not completed.

Here are some important things you need to do prior to the Defense E-mail Draft.

• PAY your League FEES. Here is the site. (If you do not pay, you are excluded from the e-mail draft).
• Submit your Keeper players.
• Log-in to the MFL Website before August 12th.
• Make sure the e-mail addresses and phone numbers are current and correct in the MFL site (I would suggest to do this so you can get a text that it is your turn to pick {Cool Feature}) This is important so you can get notified it is your turn, otherwise you will get bypassed.

NAFL Draft in Redwood City, California
Saturday August 24th, 2024 at 9:00 am

The NAFL will be conducting it’s draft via the Internet this year on the MFL Website and via Zoom. We will also be in person in Redwood City. If interested in attending in person please notify the league secretary.

Be on time, we will start promptly at 12:00 p.m. EST and 9:00 am PST

 Draft Notes!!

• The Draft will start promptly at 9:00 am PST (12:00 pm EST). We will not wait for anyone. There will be a total of 25 rounds. Here is what we will be picking.
• Defense Draft – 2 Def/Spt and 6 IDP’s (8 rounds)
• Offense Draft – 15 Players, 1 Head Coach (16 rounds)
• Extra Round due to Trades & Transactions (1 Round).
• Please remember you have to draft at least 1 QB, 1 K, 1 TE, 2 Defenses, and 6 IDP’s. Fourteen players and 1 Head Coach for a total of 15 make up a starting lineup.
• 3rd QB’s can not be selected until Round 10.
• Head Coaches are selected in Round 16.
• Third QB is selected in Round 15.

Draft Tips!!

1. Go to the draft room at least 30 minutes before the draft begins.
2. Inform the league of your phone number just in case we need to call you. You can also call the Secretary.
3. Show up to the draft on-time!! Be prepared to make your selection ahead of time.
4. Don’t waste peoples time talking about BS on the chat.
5. We are also using Skype Webcam as well.

Draft Room Tips

• Make sure you log into the MyFantasyLeague Site with your user name and password.
• Make sure you enter the Live Draft Room.
• Selections can be made in the live draft room, under “Make a Draft Pick”
• You can set up your own personal draft list under my draft list or under my draft preferences or have the computer select picks for you.

• Click on the Owner Tab on top, then click on “Live Draft Room”

To access NAFL Chat on Zoom:

This year we will be chatting live on-line via Zoom. We will be using multiple webcams to video chat. Even if you do not have a webcam you can still chat with everyone.

We will be sending out the invite and link prior to the draft so you can log in and join in on the conversation. Please contact the Commissioner and League Secretary if you need the link.

Important Player Information

To submit your 2024 Keeper players please go to the Keeper page to submit all franchise, I/R and Rookie Players. Please check out last years roster to determine who is eligible to be kept for this year. Here are the 2023 Player Rosters.

Restrictions: Owners are allowed to keep one franchise player (one from Offense and one from Defense) each year. In addition owners can keep up to 3 traded players as a franchise player.  Owners can also keep up to 2 players that are on injured reserve and keep Rookie players that were drafted the previous year.

Note: Franchise Player Rules state that teams can only keep players two years as a franchise player. One Offense and one Defense. Head Coaches also must be declared on August 1st.
